I grew up on a horse farm in the middle-of-nowhere-Alabama. And yes, I loved growing up on a farm (everyone asks me this). It gave me appreciation for so many things that we all take for granted as well as taught me that anything that’s worth having, is worth working for. Somehow, despite being educated by Alabama public schools, I ended up at South Alabama. Yea, I know – it’s still Alabama.

I moved to Atlanta about 12 years ago, and continued to pursue a career as a Chef. Eventually, I got sick of standing on my feel all day (night) and I moved on to greener pastures, so I started my IT career.

I spend the majority of my time working. I’m a Systems Engineer for a digital marketing company, but I’m transitioning back to an IT Service Desk Manage role. I’ve worked at the same company for roughly ten years, and I’ve lost count of all of the positions I’ve held.

I work to travel. My last trip was snowboarding in France, and the trip before that was to Thailand. Both are the polar opposites in terms of cost.

I’ve been a snowboarder for about ten years as well. My favorite mountain is Breckenridge, CO, but I honestly don’t care where I ride, as long as I’m riding. The one exception would be anywhere on the East Coast. I snowboard, not iceboard. One not so interesting fact about me is that I have a “pointy elbow” caused from falling on East Coast ice back in the day.

My newest passion is diving. I’ve always loved the water, and I recently put the time into obtaining PADI certification. Breathing under water is an incredible experience, and I highly recommend it. Diving at the Georgia Aquarium is a cool experience.

I love the outdoors, animals, and nature in general. I spend most of my time at home sitting on the patio usually combining work with relaxation.
