My work involves assisting refugees and new migrants to settle in Australia, which offers insights into their personal journeys, as well as glimpses into their cultures, languages, experiences, and the values that unite us as people in an increasingly adversarial world. I am not religious myself, but I think people should not be persecuted or vilified because of their beliefs.

I enjoy walking, cycling, surfing and learning new things. I have been learning German for the past 2 years and would like to improve my proficiency, which is still too low to converse effectively. Though I get caught in vortex of electronic communications technology, social media and the like, I believe one of life's greatest pleasures is be able to disconnect from the computer and find time to relax and enjoy an interesting book - I'm working on that!
